EPT Season 9: A prize to be awarded to the best high-roller player
As it was announced a few weeks earlier, significant changes have been brought to the 9th season of thet European Poker Tour (EPT). Among the most important is the organizing of several High-Roller tournaments available for a buy in more and more expensive. Indeed, during this new season of the EPT, 16 high-roller events will be in the program including the three Super-High Roller of 50,000 which will take place during the step of Barcelona, the PCA Bahamas and the EPT Monaco, the two tournaments of 25,000 of Bahamas and Monaco and the 10,000 high roller reload to be proposed at each stage of the EPT 2012.
The thing that will certainly delight the fans of this type of event, especially famous poker players, is that the organizers had the idea to award a prize for the best player in high-roller. This is an idea born after the finding of the performance achieved by Philipp Gruissem during the last season. Indeed, this player pocketed 1.4 million by counting five places in the final tournament in High-roller, two victories in London and one in Barcelona. Note that the first high-roller event of the EPT Season 9 will be held from August 17 as part of the EPT Barcelona. It will be open for 50,000 entry fee. The race for the prestigious title will be launched soon. Among the well known players who will be certainly present in Barcelona, there is Jonathan Duhamel, Dan Smith, Bertrand Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov, Daniel Negreanu or Kyle Julius.
