Genting Poker Series: Eminoglu win the title
Last Sunday, the 19 survivors of the poker tournament Genting Poker Series returned to Stoke Genting Casino for the last day of the Main Event in which nine players were selected to participate in the final table. Eliminations succeeded until only one player remained on the table. Yucel Eminoglu won the Genting Poker Series Stoke and joins previous winners of the three steps of the GPS, namely Ruslan Vlasov (GPS Star City), Albert Sapiano (GPS Fox London) and Paul McTaggart (GPS Edinburgh). During the fourth stage of the Genting Poker Series, the Turkish player was the best on a field of 482 players who registered for the Main Event of £ 430 buy-in generating a prize pool of £ 192,800.
At the ninth place was Neil Ryder who pocketed anyway £ 3,300. Elimination succeeded until the two last players met on table for the head's up. Damian Hitchins (£ 5,200), Karl Mahrenholz (£ 7,700 pounds), Steve Warburton (£ 10,800), Long Pham (£ 14,250) and Rob Swindells (£ 17,950) were eliminated in the wake leaving the last head's up to Simon Deadman and Yucel Eminoglu. The chipleader of the day, Yui Chung falls in the third place and pocketed £ 22,900. Having started the day with a stack of just under 1.5 million chips, Simon Deadman maintained his lead until he fell on the winning hand of Eminoglu. Deadman leaves the table with £ 31,000 while Yucel Eminoglu wins the GPS and the £ 46,550 promised to the winner.
