IPT San Remo: Meoni won the title and 180,000
The IPT San Remo, which took place in the poker room of the Casino of San Remo brought together 375 participants who generated a total prize pool of 727,500 which 180,000 was offered for the winner. After four days of competition, there were only nine players for the title race: Andrea Dato, Raffaele Bertolucci, Alessandro Meoni, Julien Norbert Dolay, Johnatan Maisonneuve, Giuseppe Zarbo, Nicolo Allisiardi and Omar Rodriguez. After a few hours of play, the IPT San Remo saw the coronation of Alessandro Meoni. The first player to have been eliminated by Meoni at the final table was Giuseppe Zarbo who, for his 8th place, received 14,000. A few minutes later, Julien Norbert Dolay ousted the French Jonathan Maisonneuve. A 7th place awarded with 21,000. Omar Rodriguez was the next on the list followed by Andrea Dato. Both players left the final table with gain of 29,000 and 36,000.
At this stage of the competition, there were only four players for the title. But Nicolò Allisiardi did not survive long to join the list of eliminated. The three-handed play was played between Raffaele Bertolucci, Alessandro Meoni and Julien Norbert Dolay but the latter didnt stand up against Meoni who accumulated 5.25 million chips after that hand. The French took home 71,500 for his third place in the tournament. Chipleader of the heads up, Alessandro Meoni faced Raffaele Bertolucci during the final duel and had at that time 4,145,000 chips. It took over an hour for both players to be separated. Alessandro Meoni won 180,000 for his victory against 115,000 for the runner up, Raffaele Bertolucci.
