APT Macau: Carlos Chang, champion!
In recent years, Macau, the Las Vegas of Asia, became a destination for poker professionals. Last week, Macau received a step of the Asian Poker Tour in which 267 players signed up for the Main Event of $ HKD 25,000 buy-in which is approximately 3,200. The field let raised a total prize pool of $ HKD 1,913,100. After several days of competition, the eliminations succeeded and the final table hosted the 9 survivors of this poker tournament: Winfred Yu, Aaron Lim, Richard Yueqi Zhu, Carlos Chang, Tom Alner, Yue Qing Zhou, Martin Nilsson, Yi -Po Lee, Samad Razavi and Ai Min Zhang. The Chinese Zhu Richard was the chipleader with 754,000 while Yi Po Lee and Martin Nilsson started the final table as the shortstack with 169,000 and 162,000 chips.
The elimination of players has taken over until there are only three players who are the chipleader at the start of the final table Richard Zhu, Carlos Chang and Martin Nilsson Winfred Yu was eliminated in the 10th place ($HKD 101,700) followed by Sam Razavi (ninth, $ HKD 110,600), Po Yi Lee (8th, $ HKD 122,600), Yue Qing Zhou ($HKD 179,400), Ai Min Zhang (6th, $ HKD 239,200), Tom Alner (fifth, $ HKD 299,000) and Aaron Lim (4th, $ HKD 358,700). Chang eliminated Zhu Richard and reached the heads up with Winfred Yu. Carlos Chang quickly took over his opponent and finished the tournament with $ HKD 1,913,100 and Winfred Yu pocketed $ HKD 1,016,400.
