The Italian Poker Tour (IPT) San Remo brought together a field of over 375 players who carried out 2,200, the entry fee amount of the Main Event. At the end of the Day 1, 157 players were qualified for the Day 2 but only 45 of them will be retained for the next round. Costantino Russo, Giorgia Tabet and Joseph Pastura were eliminated on Day 2 but they were rewarded with a gain of over 3,000 each for their tickets in the ITM. Sandra Naujoks, who won the EPT Dortmund in 2009, had less luck when leaving the tournament without being paid at the end of the Day 2.
