WSOP Main Event: A record crowd on day 1C
The attendance rate recorded in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is increasing. On Day 1C, another attendance record was registered. Indeed, the event attracted a field of 3,148 players, reflecting the success of the edition 2012 of the tournament. Its for the first time that such a number of participants was recorded in the WSOP even if some players were pessimist during the Day 1A as it only attracted 1,066 players. From day 1B, a significant increase in the field is announced. In total therefore, the WSOP 2012 Main event brought together 6,598 players generating a prize pool of $ 62,021,200. The lucky one who will win the trophy will walk away with a check of $ 8,527,982.
To return to the tournament, the presence of illustrious figures of poker marked the Day 1C. Doyle Brunson, Joe Cada, Johnny Chan, Jake Cody, Antonio Esfandiari, and Phil Ivey were present there. The "Tiger Woods" had some difficulties to impose his game. He will then begin the second day of competition with only 11,525 chips. Jonathan Duhamel and Chris Moneymaker wont be able to comeback. Randy Haddox is in the place of chipleader. As for French poker players, most of them have been already eliminated at the end of the day like Lucilly Cailly, Guillaume Darcourt or Antony Lellouche. Qualified players during the first three days joined the poker room of the Amazon Pavillion Room for the Day 2.
