WSOP 2012 Event # 60: Second victory of Nick Schulman at the same event
Already winner of the tournament $ 10,000 Deuce to Seven Draw Lowball of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 2009, the American Nick Schulman took over for the second time the trophy of the same event. This time, he evolved from a field of 101 participants including many great players like Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Shaun Deeb, Jennifer Harman and Barry Greenstein. Moreover, the double champion faced great figures of poker such as John Juanda, who finished sixth, Ali Eslami, who ended up in the 8th place and Larry Wright who was the first to leave the final table at 9. When the German George Danze was eliminated and finished third, Mike Wattel and Schulman started the final duel.
The public of the Rio poker room appreciated the performance of Schulman and he deserved well his second bracelet. Note that he also pocketed, thanks to this feat, the prize of $ 294,321. The runner-up went home with the sum of $ 181,886. Ben Parker takes the 4 th place of the tournament and Ashton Griffin and Bob Bright were respectively in the 5th and 7th place. We should also mention that the prizepool was shared to the top 14 players of the tournament. Among the biggest names of poker who accessed the money list, there was Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Andy Bloch, and Marco Traniello.
