Global Poker Index: Mercier as new leader, Mizrachi in the top 10
The last update of the Global Poker Index (GPI) registered a big change, thanks to the results of players at various tournaments of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Regarding the members of the Top 10, Jason Mercier was awarded the first place, while Bertrand Grospellier is second. With his victory in the Poker Players Championship of $ 50,000 buy-in, Michael Mizrachi also registered a large increase. He won 26 seats and has just landed at the 10 th place in the standings. Chris Klodnicki achieved the same feat as he won 15 seats. He however needs 4 places before acceding in the top 10. We should also mention the performance of Fernando Brito who won 112 seats, Jonathan Little 52, Matt Giannetti 120, Dwyte Pilgrim 67 and Chris McClung 63.
While some players managed to get a better position in the ranking of the GPI, others regressed. This is the case of Scott Seiver who lost 75 seats, 89 for Barry Greenstein, 115 for Ben Lamb or Antony Lellouche who lost 43 positions. There are also those who left the ranking such as Andrew Robl, Mike Binger, Alessio Isaia, Brian Rast, Nikolai Yakovenko, Mike Beasley and Simon Charette. The game continues at Rio and other major poker tournament were also held in different countries like the World Poker Tour National Series Madrid. The next ranking will certainly unveil other major surprises.
