WSOP Player Of The Year: Ivey still in the lead, Mizrachi on the podium
Michael Mizrachi had just scored a significant increase in the Player of the Year ranking of the World Series of Poker 2012 (WSOP). Indeed, thanks to the enormous feat he accomplished at the Poker Player Championship of $ 50,000, he got a place on the podium. Effectively, thanks to his victory in an Open tournament, the player wins 100 points. But what especially let Mizrachi to win the third place was his victory at the PPA of $ 50,000. So now he is behind John Monnette with 486.20 points. Phil Hellmuth also won a few places by being finalist of the Big One for One drop of $ 1 million. He is currently sixth in the standings.
For the moment, the first place is still occupied by Phil Ivey who has 539.70 points. However, everything can change because five tournaments will still take place in the poker room of Rio including the main event. We should also mention that the results of players at the WSOP Europe in Cannes might also bring a few changes to the list of the Poker Player of The year of the WSOP 2012. Members of the top 10 have then to make greater efforts if they want to keep their seats. Note that Andrew Frankenberger, Vanessa Selbst, Andy Bloch, Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Michael Gathy and David Baker are still on the list and are ranked 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th.
