Online poker: Meeting of the Poker Players Alliance members at Rio
Always in the quest for the legalization of online poker market in the United States, members of the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) held a meeting at Rio casino on Saturday. The purpose of this meeting was to review the evolution of the steps acquired actually. A glimmer of hope soured the participants of the meeting by welcoming the Congressman Joe Barton who is a great supporter of the bill HR 2366 that he humorously named "a bad hand in poker." He may have an important influence in the process but the decision is in the hands of the authorities. At the meeting, Barton said that the bill should be voted until the end of July or could risk disappearing forever.
Which could increase the chance of fans of online poker is that the efforts put forward by the PPA have the desired effect. If before the Black Friday, the election result was three against one in favor of opponents of the bill, a clear improvement was observed according to the executive director of the association, John Pappas. It is clear that the authorities are very reluctant regarding the legalization of gambling. Hopefully they are convinced by the arguments put up by the PPP. For now, players have to settle for the next implementation of online poker market in Nevada, which is already a victory.
