Gujan Mestras: Desgouttes wins against Wilhelm
The Main Event of the France Poker Series (FPS) Gujan Mestras brought together a field of 172 players, a field from which Florian Desgouttes was the winner. 82 players registered in the Day 1A of the Main Event but at the end of the day, there were only 35 survivors. The Day 1B brought together 90 players but only 32 of them survived reducing the number of participants to 67 for Day 2. The Day 2 saw many participants eliminated as Jean Baptiste Loll, Christophe Dartagnan, Guillaume Roiron, Ahmed Sellaoui, Celine Bastian, Christopher Pereirra, Joseph Carlino and also Guillaume Garcia, the bubble boy of the ITM for his 19th place. The first player who acceded to the money was Stevens Verrier who pocketed 2,250 for his 18th place. For his 13th place, Nicolas Lambert left the table with a gain of 2,740.
The Day 3 hosted the eight finalists composed by Olivier Giraudon (8th, 6,000) and Lars Hoops (7th, 7,600), Mikael Azoulay (6th, 9,400), Kim De Fay De La Roche (fifth, 11,300) and Igor Merliere (4th, 13,300). The final table chipleadear Julien Gauthier was eliminated in the third place ( 17,500), leaving the head's up to Florian Desgouttes and Guillaume Wilhelm. Despite his 3.5 million chips against 750,000 for Desgouttes, Wilhelm lost his advantag and gave the victory to Florian Desgouttes. The latter pocketed a gain of 43,000 against 27,000 for the runner up of this poker tournament.
