Big One for One Drop: $ 18 for the winner

Last Sunday, the Rio casino of Las Vegas hosted the largest live poker event: the Big One for One Drop. The Big One for One Drop brought together a field of 48 players who paid a buy-in of one million dollars. Businessmen were present there to support the project of Guy Laliberté, but the field was mostly made up of professional players. And at the end of Day 1 that lasted nine hours, there were only 37 survivors. Jonathan Duhamel, Eugene Katchalov and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier were among the 11 removed from the day. The 37 survivors began the Day 2 with Brian Rast as chipleader with a stack of 10,710,000.

Among the 29 professional players enrolled at the start of Day 2, there remained only 9 players namely Phil Hellmuth, Sam Trickett, Mike Sexton, Antonio Esfandiari, Phillipp Gruissem, Tom Marchese, Roland De Wolfe, Haralabos Voulgaris and Brian Rast. Eliminations at this great poker tournament succeeded and only 16 players resisted until the dinner break. The Day 3 will stop when it remains only 8 players on the table. These last survivors will try to win the $ 18 million promised to the winner but also the ninth will be in the money because the tournament scheduled nine paid places. The players still in contention for the title are Guy Laliberté, Brian Rast, Antonio Esfandiari, Sam Trickett, Richard Yong, Frederic Banjout, David Einhorn, Phil Hellmuth, Bobby Baldwin, Tom Marchese, Roland De Wolfe, Philipp Gruissem, Brandon Steven, Cary Katz, Mike Sexton and Ilya Bulychev.
