Tom Marchese: The best of the WPT World Championship Super High Roller 2012
Like the main event, the Super High Roller of the World Poker Tour World Championship attracted many participants. On the last day of the event, Friday, May 25, six players played the final table but only five of them were in the money. Of the twenty and some players who registered during the Day 1 and Day 2, it remained only Andrew Robl, Justin Bonomo, Tom Marchese, Daniel Perper, Bill Klein and John Juanda to claim the title and pocket the $ 1,308,405 provided for the winner. The fifth player of the paid seat won for his part $ 263,160. On the 13th hand, the bubble burst when John Juanda eliminated Justin Bonomo who was the bubble boy of the final table.
A few hands later, Bill Klein falls at the fifth place following a preflop paid by Daniel Perper. Klein is still in the money and pocketed $ 263,160 for his fifth place. Three hands later, Daniel Perper abandoned the part with $ 394,740 after having been ousted in the 4th place by John Juanda even though he played poker well. John Juanda was the next on the list. For his third place, he left the final table with $ 526,320, leaving Andrew Robl and Tom Marchese in the head's up. Chipleader of the final duel with more than 7 million chips against 6.5 million for Andrew Robl, Tom Marchese kept his advantage by winning the Super High Roller of $ 100,000 buy-in. He pocketed $ 1,308,405 against $ 822,375 for his runner up Andrew Robl.
