Marrakesh Poker Open: Start of the 26 th edition
Since Wednesday, May 24, the Es Saadi Casino opened its doors to poker enthusiasts. Indeed, this place is currently hosting the 26 th edition of the Marrakesh Poker Open, the second tournament of this year. The event will end next Sunday and during the few days of competition, 12 tournaments will take place in the poker room of Es Saadi. The flagship tournament which is the main event will begin on Saturday, May 26. This deepstack tournament is open to a buy-in of 1,350 and will have a guaranteed prize of one million dirhams. Qualifying satellite tournaments are organized before the kick-off and only 135 is enough for players to have seat in its tables. Many French poker pros are already heading to Morocco to take part in this event. Until that great event, the public has already been able to attend the inaugural tournament which is the Deepstack of 500 entry fee.
Note that the organizers added new tournaments in the schedule of this new edition, enough to satisfy even more participants. Among them are the Bounty tournament of 225 which kickoff is scheduled for this Friday and the 2,700 High Roller with re-entry format starting from May 26 at 9 pm. For fans of cash games, more tables will also be available to them at this MPO XXVI. This May 27th, the festival will be closed with a Short Handed Turbo of 135.
