United Kingdom Ireland Poker Tour: Richard Evans victorious in Dublin
The United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) made a stop in Dublin. It becomes now a very appreciated poker meeting where everyone is present, which explains the fact that the event attracted 597 participants. Four days of competition were held before the winner, a native of North Wales, Richard Evans, received the trophy. During the final day, eight players joined the poker room to try to win the title. The first elimination occurred thirty minutes after the kickoff and the victim was Lee Atherton. It only took 15 minutes for Keith Swain to join him. After he left, the battle became increasingly fierce. And three hours later, another player was eliminated. This is Graeme Crozier who lost his entire stack in favor of Stephen McGraph. The next victim was known 90 minutes later. This time it was the turn of Padraig O'Neill to leave the table. He was followed by Vincent Buis.
After a deal that will grant an amount of 60,000 the three remaining players and to add a prize of 15,000 to the champion, the last three finalists continued the game. Everything was going very fast and Seamus Birt had to bow in the bronze place. The duel Richard Evans and McGraph started therefore. With an advantage in chips, Evans did not take long to oust his opponent. So he grabbed the prestigious title of champion of the UKIPT Dublin 2012 and the first prize of 75,000.
