APAT Amateur Championship: The Welsh appointment for this weekend
While many poker players, including a majority of big players are in full preparation of the World Championship that will begin this weekend in Las Vegas, the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) is preparing to welcome players at G Casino Cardiff to contest the title of a new stage of the tournament. Of course, no comparison is to maintain. However, this event represents a tremendous opportunity for poker enthusiasts who can't reach the city of lights and take part in tournaments with big buy-in. Indeed, during the APAT Welsh Amateur Poker Championship that will take place this weekend, participants will play poker in a very professional setting, an environment that can please them and improve their performance. This Welsh step look like the English league organized in the last month of April. At the event held at G Casino Coventry, the victory went to Mike Hudson who managed to triumph among 164 opponents and go with a premium of £ 3,825.
In the main event having a deepstack format that will be accessible to £ 75 + £ 8 entry fee, the winner will receive the same prestige as Mike Hudson. He will walk away with the lion's share of the prize pool and a ticket for the Genting Poker Series. Regarding the structure of the tournament, players will receive 15,000 starting chips with blinds of 25/50. The duration of the game levels increase every 45 minutes. The field for this event is estimated to reach 120 participants. A $ 25 PLO side event will be held on Sunday, May 27. It could bring 50 competitors.
