WPT World Championship: Hafiz Khan leader, Darcourt also qualified for the next round
This Tuesday, May 22, 44 players joined the Bellagio Hotel to attend the fourth day of competition of the World Poker Tour World Championship. This stage of the competition was crucial for participants because the field narrowed considerably at the end of the day. It was also the time to elect players who will access the money list. After five levels of play of 90 minutes each, therefore, the verdict was announced. It remains only 19 players while the bubble would burst with 18 remaining players. Holder of the largest stack of 1,966,000 chips, Hafiz Khan is safe and will begin the final day as chipleader. He beat Marvin Rettenmaier who has 1,870,000 chips. It must be said that the top 10 is occupied by top players as Nick Schulman who is third, Moon Kim who ranks at the 6 th position in chips, Michael Mizrachi 7 th and Steve O'Dwyer 9 th. All have a stack of more than 1,000,000 chips.
Despite the presence of these poker elite in the top list, the French public can still count on their favorite Guillaume Darcourt. Indeed, he has 420,000 chips in hand, which is quite low, but he can still achieve a great feat and reach for example the list of finalists. Philippe Ktorza is also vying for the Day 5 while Nicolas Fraioli already surrendered. Some top players also missed the chance to return during the Day 5 namely David Sands, Matthew Waxman, Jonathan Little, Antonio Esfandiari and JP Kelly.
