WPT World Championship: Curt Kohlberg took the lead at the end of Day 3

The Main Event of the WPT World Championship of $ 25,000 buy-in drew during the Day 3, 152 players who competed in a great battle for the 45 places of the next day. This final of the World Poker Tour was different because of re-entry as registrations are still open until Day 3. Thus, the 96 survivors of the Day 2 were joined by new entrants and bring the field to 152 players. At the end of the day, the Hotel Bellagio of Las Vegas registered 45 survivors on Day 4, Tuesday with Curt Kohlberg as chip leader. Curt Kohlberg begins the Day 4 with a stack of 918,300 chips followed by Nick Schulman and Guillaume Darcourt for the Top 3 with a stack of 768,000 and 641,000 respectively.



We also note the presence of Rinat Bogdanov, David Steicke, Tony Ruberto, Viacheslav Igin, Farzad Bonyadi, Nicolas Fraioli and Antonio Esfandiari among the 45 survivors. Faraz Jaka and Phil Hellmuth were not so lucky as they were removed just after two hours of play. The WPT World Championship promises 18 paid places with a minimum gain of $ 40,266. On the prize pool of $ 3,660,500, the sum of $ 1,171,358 will be reserved for the winner of the grand final of the World Poker Tour. This Tuesday, May 22 will be an opportunity for the survivors of the Day 3 to qualify for the final table and claim to succeed to Scott Seiver.
