Charity: The generosity of French poker players requested
For some time, poker events having charity purposes tended to increase, with increasing success, a fact which proves that making money is not the only concern of poker enthusiasts. In France, some players mobilized to provide assistance to various charitable organizations. Among others, there is Fabrice Soulier and Claire Renaud, two professional poker players who created the famous "1% for the next WSOP" to support the activities of the association "l'Etoile de Martin," which conducts research on children cancer. They decided to donate 1% of rewards obtained in the next world championship of poker in Las Vegas at the association and appeal to their comrades to support this great initiative. Note that top players such as Fabrice Santoro and Estelle Denis support regularly the association in its humble quest.
In the same context, an avid of online poker, Alban Juen, also decided to create an association that is named "Défi-uvre Caritative." This player confided that he supported a charity "&ven'kid" for two years and hopes that other grinders will also take part in this charity by joining the association. The concept is to pay a percentage of profits for five days or a week for the association. The challenge run since Monday, May 14. Funds raised will enable the association to fund the education of poor children in Asia and Africa through the intervention of PLAN International. Already, many players responded to his call.
