King of Poker: Francesca Fratazzi, Queen of Budva
The first edition of the King of Poker has been marked by the participation of 371 players who engaged in a great battle for the title of "King." But to the surprise of all, the splendid Casino Royale Budva inducted a "Queen" and not a "king". Indeed, Francesca Fratazzi was the best in Montenegro for the first edition of the King of Poker after a head's up against Saman "Ottodix" Ziarati. On the Day 3, 21 players were still in contention for the title but after a series of elimination, the final table finally brought together the nine survivors of the four days. Fabio Coppola, Marcella Ponzo, Giancarlo Fisichella, Gianfranco Frangella, Saman Ziarati, Mirko Micovic, Ljubisa Bojic, Francesca Fratazzi and Ilija Marovic are the nine finalists, while players like Joseph Vicidomini, Giorgia Tabet, Umberto Cianfanelli, Louis Ginobbi, Massimiliano Falanga, Massimo Casabona or Marcella Ponzo have been elminated before this final round. The bubble boy of the final table was Claudio Castrogiovanni.
During this last phase, Marcella Ponzo was the first player to leave the table followed by Ilija Marovic in the 8th place and Fabio Coppola (7th). Giancarlo Fisichella realized an exceptional week by moving up to the final table of the King of Poker Budva but he was eliminated in the sixth place just before the elimination of Mirko Ljubisa and Bojic Micovic. Gianfranco Frangella reached the last step of the podium after his battle against Ziarati Saman. This last elimination left Saman Ziarati in head's up against Francesca Fratazzi.
