BPT Nice: Denis Biscaldi victorious and win a place for the WSOPE Cannes
Among the field of 117 participants in the main event of the 1,500 Barriere Poker Tour Nice (BPT), Denis Biscaldi emerged victorious and was awarded the trophy and the first prize of 23,500 including a package of 12,000 for the Main event of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). For the second consecutive year, the Hexagon was indeed privileged to host this great poker event. This year, the tournament will be held from September 29 to October 3rd, 2012 in Cannes. Since last year, packages for the WSOPE 2012 Cannes are distributed to participants at each stage of the BPT circuit. During the step in Nice, organizers offered six packages to the winner, his runner-up and also Gaëtan Balleur. Herve Clerc, Stephan Sismondini, Lionel Lacolas and Thibaut Demoulin who were entitled to a ticket by finishing respectively 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.
Note that top players were present in the poker room of Casino Barriere le Ruhl in Nice as Antoine Saout who also ended up in the money. But at the end of the competition, it's Biscaldi who won the title. He got his place in the main event of the BPT Nice during a live satellite tournament of 200 buy-in held at Casino Barriere of Carry Le Rouet. After this step in Nice, the BPT give appointment to all those who want to qualify for the WSOPE Cannes 2012 in the next step. It will be held in Toulouse from June 8 to 10, 2012.
