Tournament of Champions: Victory of Christophe Benzmira
The Tournament of Champions or TOC 2012 ended with the victory of the champion of the European Poker Tour Warsaw (EPT), Christophe Benzmira. This event with a prize pool of 100,000 was attended by 40 EPT champions with among others Davidi Kitai, Pascal Perrault, Lucien Cohen, Vicky Coren, Liv Boeree, Arnaud Mattern, Glen Chorny, Patrick Antonius, Mike McDonald, Roland de Wolfe, Jake Cody, Bertrand Grospellier, Roberto Romanello and Sandra Naujocks. The 49 years players from Nice offer the title to his country, France by winning the title of prestige. He managed to win against this very tough field. With this feat, Benzmira won the famous pack of 35,000 that will let him to have access to each poker of the ninth edition of the EPT.
Note that players of the TOC 2012 competed in a tournament 6-Max format. During the final head's up, Benzmira had as opponent the EPT Loutraki champion, Zimnan Ziyard. This latter received a premium of 25,000 as runner-up. The winner of the EPT Deauville, Jake Cody was awarded the third place with a prize of 17,500. The French Arnaud Mattern also registered an excellent course during the competition. He was awarded the 4 th place, that allowed him to receive a bonus of 10,000. Frederik Jensen and the great champion of the Grand Final of the EPT Monte Carlo also finished in the money and were respectively in the 5th and 6 th place. Note that the program of the season 9 is already revealed and it's sure that Benzmira will always be present there.
