APPT Cebu: Antoine Amourette in the list of survivors
The Waterfront Hotel and Casino of Cebu, in the Philippines was the scene of an important poker meeting. Indeed, the place welcomes many famous poker players who came there to play the title of the Asian Pacific Poker Tour 2012 (APPT). The event brought together a field of 246 participants and it already reached its third day of competition. At the end of Day 2, the field narrowed to 28 participants and if the place of chipleader is occupied by Amit Varma, the French Antoine Amourette managed to appear in the list of survivors to defend the honor of his country. This French poker player made until here a good run as many players with the same level as him already surrendered at the end of this second day of competition, among whom are Charles Lam, Vivian Im, Raymond Wu, Celina Lin, Rami Boukai and David Steicke. Note that the 28 players who will participate in the Day 3 are all entitled to a reward. The bubble boy of the game, Mikko Turtiainen was the one who came close to the rank of rewarded players.
The Day 3 will therefore identify the best players who will fill the final table of the tournament. The chipleader is well positioned to win this day because he has 545,500 chips while the player who is in the second place, Hoang Anh Do has only 330,000 chips. However, he still had to face a severe battle before. At the third position is Jacky Wang holder of 274,500 chips.
