EPT Season 9: Major changes to discover
While the grand finale of the eighth season of the European Poker Tour (EPT) continues its course in Monte Carlo, the organizers unveiled in the other side the program of next season. At first glance, major changes were made. First, the organizers reduced to 8 the number of steps if the EPT had 13 stops during season 8. However, members of the circuit can benefit two weeks of festivities at each stage. According to tournament chair, Edgar Stuchly, the new program was designed after a careful study and with the sole aim to offer more satisfaction to those who like to play poker either for fun or for a purely professional objective.
Thus, besides the Main events which remain the most popular meeting at every stop, the season 9 of the EPT will also include more side event accessible to a modest buy-in and many High Roller tournaments. There will be among others the 50,000 High Roller in Barcelona that will be the broadcast on television, the High Roller of 25,000 and 100,000 to be held during the PCA in the Bahamas and the Grand Final in Monte Carlo. A tournament "Champion Series" of 10,000 organized at each stage will complete the list of novelties of the season 9. Note that in this competition, players will also highlight their expertise in heads'up formats, pot-limit Omaha and 8 - Game. The season 9 will begin in Barcelona from August 15 to 25, 2012 before visiting San Remo, Prague, the Bahamas, Deauville, London and Berlin. The grand final will be held once again in Monte Carlo from May 6 to 15, 2013.
