Monte Carlo: 1.6 million € to win at the Super High Roller

After a rather successful stopover in Berlin, the European Poker Tour landed in Monte Carlo for a few days of festivities. The inaugural event is the Super High Roller of € 100,000 buy-in which is already in its third day of competition. The event meant to unite elite of poker lived up to its bet, many of them were present, 43 participants in total. Phil Ivey, Jason Mercier, Vanessa Selbst, Scott Seiver, Tom Marchese, Viktor Blom, Bertrand Grospellier, Jonathan Duhamel, Sam Trickett and Gus Hansen were present in the poker room of Sporting Club of Monaco to attend the event. At the end of the first day of competition, the world champion Jonathan Duhamel and Dan Shak occupied the leading places while it remains more than 29 players in contention.

On Tuesday, April 24, the action was back. Effectively, the prize to win at this event is enormous as the winner will walk away with a large reward of € 1,640,000. This second day of competition ended with the propulsion of the American Justin Bonomo in the place of chipleader. He accumulated the largest stack, over 4.3 million chips. He therefore has a huge advantage because the second player on the final table, Tobias Reinkemeier, has only half of his stack. However, the public will still see a tight game as leading figures in online poker and high stakes tournaments such as Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov and Patrick Antonius, present in the final field won't give up easily.
