PPT Super Sat of Nice: The trophy for Benoit Albiges
The Super Sat of the Partouche Poker Tour (PPT) stopped in Nice last weekend and ultimately, its conqueror was Benoit Albiges. As a reminder, this is a qualifier for the final of the PPT and also allows players to get a package for the big event International Stadium Poker Tour (ISPT). A field of 324 participants has been registered in the tournament, demonstrating once again the success of the circuit inside poker players. From the beginning of the second day of competition, Benoit Albiges showed his determination to win the title. He first saw a dead end but was able to get up to find himself in the place of champion. His efforts were well rewarded because besides the top prize of 16,000, he also won a place for the final and an ISPT ticket.
But the native of Grenoble is not really a novice of the circuit because he has already won the trophy in 2009. And he'll continue the adventure because after this feat in Nice, he will play poker in a purely professional setting. Indeed, he will take part in the EPT Monaco with his wife. The presence of some well known players in this competition was also noticed. There were among others Rober Giordano who occupied the third place and Anthony Hnatow who greatly disappointed his audience because he finally surrendered at the 7 th place after having holded the position of chip leader at the start of the final table. The runner-up of the tournament Thierry Massei went home with a bonus of 9,200 and also tickets for the final of the PPT and the ISPT.
