EPT Berlin: Victory and a Triple Crown for Davidi Kitai
The step in Berlin of the European Poker Tour (EPT) was an opportunity for the Belgian player, Davidi Kitai, to show that he is a player not to be underestimated, even a very good player. Winner of this German stage of the EPT, he comes to access to a race of legend in the world of live poker, a category that includes some outstanding players as Betrand Grospellier or Jake Cody because he just join the ranks of five players who won the Triple Crown so far. Indeed, Davidi Kitai ended as the best player of the final table of this tournament that lasted over 10 hours on Sunday. Note that he is therefore the first Belgian player who won an EPT title.
Indeed, Kitai resisted until the end. After the elimination of Pratyush Buddiga, Mark Wright, Cesar Garcia, Bahadir Kilickeser, Mario Puccini and Andre Morath respectively at the 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th and 3rd place, David Kitai began the final duel against the American Andrew Chen. It was a duel quite hectic but the Belgian dominate his opponet, winning finally the first prize of 712,000, a bracelet Shamballa Jewells and a place for the Champions tournament in Monte Carlo, an event organized as part of the last stop on the season, the EPT Grand Final. As for the runner-up, he took home the second prize of 613,000. As a reminder, the Belgian has already won a title of the World Series of Poker 2009 (WSOP) during the $ 2,000 PL Hold'em tournament. He has also a World Poker Tour (WPT) title grated for his victory during the WPT Celebrity Invitational during the LA Poker Classic in 2011. And this EPT title complete his prizelist for the Triple Crown.
