EPT Berlin: The edition 2012 begins this Monday, April 16
There are only two steps prior to the final of the eighth season of the European Poker Tour 2012 (EPT). The penultimate stage, the EPT Berlin starts this Monday, April 16 at the Grand Hyatt. Last year, the event brought together 773 participants and it was the Canadian Ben Wilnofsky who won the title. For this new edition, a huge success is expected. Indeed, the organizers hope to bring together over 1,000 participants during the main event of 5,300 buy-in. In anyway, what is certain is that many top players will participate in the event. In the side of representatives of the Hexagon, Bertrand Grospellier, Arnaud Mattern, Regis Burlot, David Kitai, Damien Langlois and Charles Serry expressed their presences.
These French poker pros will compete against other well known internationally players like Luca Pagano, Eugene Katchalov, Martin Jacobson, Theo Jorgensen, Olivier Busquet, Vanessa Selbst, Farah Zaka, Shaun Deeb, Sandra Naujocks, Alex Kravchenko, Liv Boeree, Pius Heinz, Kevin McPhee and Barry Greenstein. Actually, it is impossible to guess who among them will succeed to Wilinofsky but the bet is open. Note that the Main event will have two first qualifying days. The third day of competition will only end when there remain only 24 players. And normally, members of the eight final table will be announced on Day 4. Apart from the main event, many side events will be also organized in the poker room of the Hyatt. There will among other pot-limit Omaha turbo 2,100, no-limit hold'em turbo bounty of 1,000 + 1,000 + 100 buy-in or the NLH re-entry eight-max of 10,300 entry fee.
