EPT Berlin: 110 survivors for the Day 2
After the EPT Campione of last March, European poker enthusiasts meet currently in Germany for the EPT Berlin, the last stage of the European Poker Tour season 8 before the EPT Grand Final in Monaco at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. The EPT Berlin opened its doors last Sunday but the Main event began on Monday, a tournament that registered 243 players for the Day 1A. Participants paid the buy-in of 5,300 and we found among them Scott Seiver, Pierre Neuville, Alec Torelli, Regis Burlot, Anton Wigg, Olivier Busquet, Vanessa Selbst, Samuel Chartier, Shaun Deeb, Stephane Albertini, Andrew Chen, Antoine Labat and Ilan Boujenah.
During the day of this Monday, the 243 players played in 10 game levels of 60 minutes and at the end of the day, there remained 110 players for the next round. Vladimir Geshkenbein takes the chip lead with a stack of 201,600 chips. Behind the Russian, we found with 199,600 chips Jens Weigel followed by Ariel Celestino (153,300) for the top 3 in terms of chip count for this Day 1A. Among the other skilled players, we also retains the presence of Anton Wigg, Azmi Korkmaz, Stephane Albertini, David Yan, Iliodoros Kamatakis Bozidar Miljkovic, Scott Baumstein, Bryan Piccioli, Kalle Niemi, Angel Guillen, Mathias Kuerschner, Jens Kaiser, Kevin Vandersmissen or Sat Chartier for the Day 2 of this Wednesday, April 18. Ludovic Lacay and Petar Kapuran were not as lucky as the 110 qualified players and left prematurely the table of the poker room of Hyatt Berlin.
