Kevin Vandermissen: The new champion of the Irish Open

Having assembled 502 poker enthusiasts, the € 3,500 main event of the Irish Poker Open in Dublin announced its verdict. The coronation was awarded to the runner-up of the European Poker Tour Snowfest, Kevin Vandermissen, who pocketed for his performance the sum of € 420,000. The Belgian poker player on the rise in his playing career has therefore now $ 1.5 million in live tournament winnings thanks to this victory. Note that the event took place from April 6 to 9 and it was an opportunity for the public to see professionals playing poker. Some of them managed to finish in the money like Joel Dodds, Jason Wheeler, Phil Hellmuth, James Dempsey, Freddy Deeb, Adam Levy or Koen De Vissher. Many other top players were also present at the final table.

Indeed, Kevin Vandermissen did not have an easy way because he had to face strong opponents like Steve Wats who finished 5th, Samuel Chartier who finished 7th and the local pro Andy Black, who was eliminated at the 8th place. Philip Magennis was the first to leave the game. Jordan Lewis surrendered at the 6 th place and Ian Simpson at the 4th. The third place was occupied by David Bean who pocketed the prize of € 158,000. Thomas Beer and Vandermissen played thus the final duel. For his place of runner-up, Beer won't be disappointed as he pocketed a whopping € 225,000.
