EPT Campione 2012: 24 survivors on Day 3, Jannick Wrang chipleader
The Day 3 of the EPT Campione was attended by 99 survivors of the Day 2 with 88 of them will be in the money. Certainly, the goal of the day was to qualify for the next day during which 24 players will be retained but for the 88 players, the first objective is already achieved: the money. Of the 569 starting players of the European Poker Tour Campione 2012, 24 players will return to the Casino di Campione on Day 4, the penultimate day of the 5,300 buy-in Main Event. Among the players of that day who were forced to leave the tournament, we noted the elimination of Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier after having been eliminated by Andrey Gulyy's who had henceforth a stack of 475,000. The French fell at the 61st place with a gain of 9,000. There is also the case of the British Liv Boeree who lost her stack before the dinner break.
Jannick Wrang is the chip leader of the day with a stack of 1,742,000, followed by Fabrice Soulier (1,230,000), Robin Ylitalo (1,221,000), Mario Nagel (1,125,000), Simeon Naydenov (1,076,000) Ramin Hajiyev (1,000,000), Olivier Busquet (973,000), Alexander Andermatt (968,000), Koen De Visscher (858,000) and Giuseppe Biancoviso (820,000) who close the top 10 of the chip count. In the list of the 24 survivors of the day, we found among others Jean Philippe Rohr, Balazs Botond, Stefano Puccilli, David Vamplew, Ronny Kaiser, Stefano Demontis, Alessandro Minasi, Adrian Veghinas and Andrea Benelli. The 24 players will share three tables to define the remaining players who will qualify for the final table of this Saturday to be played in the same poker room.
