Global Poker Index: Jason Mercier still leads
The last update of the world poker ranking Global Poker Index (GPI) once again revealed that Jason Mercier is still leading. This is the fifth consecutive time that the American throne at this place, a record. He was entitled to this honorary title because of his regularity. This owner of a Triple Crown is ahead of Bertrand Grospellier by accumulating 2,980 points. But which also marked the ranking of this week is the fall of Seidel. He was relegated to the fifth place due to insufficient of performance on poker scenes. The leader of the All Time Money List is therefore behind Shawn Buchanan who moves to the 3rd position and David Sands (4th). As for Eugene Katchalov, Sorel Mizzi, Vanessa Selbst, Will Failla and Steve O'Dwyer, they are also part of the Top 10 and are ranked at the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th.
Other French players won points, which allowed them to advance in the ranking. Among them are Jean Philippe Rohr who, thanks to his victory at the World Poker Tour National Series Mauritius High Roller entered in the Top 100. He won 69 seats. Bruno Lopes also won 41 seats. With his 4 th place at the European Poker Tour Madrid, he could see a further rise in the next rankings. In sum then, 22 French players entered in the Top 300 of the GPI, including Roger Hairabedian, Adrian Allain, Fabrice Soulier, Ludovic Lacay, Arnaud Mattern, Guillaume Darcourt and David Benyamine.
