Deepstack Open: An unprecedented success for its stopover in Cannes
The poker circuit Deepstack Open visited the city of Cannes from March 15. If in 2011, the event was a great success with 536 registered players, this year the success was even more important. More and more players seems to be interested in the concept of playing deep stack poker for a modest entrance fee as they were 545 participants to pay the buy-in of 550 for this edition. And many great players were part of the starting field like Jean Paul Pasqualini, Roger Hairabedian, Fabien Perrot, Paul Testud, Antonin Teisseire, Omar Karib, Giuseppe Zarbo and Jean Jacques Mars. Note that during the first edition in 2011, the trophy was won by the Italian Luca Colangelo.
So last weekend, the event ended with a French victory. Indeed, by having not been beaten on the tables of Casino Barrière Cannes Croisette, Romain Salguero seized the trophy with the first prize of 33,000. He ousted his compatriot Fabien Hulin during the final heads'up. And this latter settled with the second prize of 24,000. The third place returned to a French player in the person of Philip Duffaud. Emile Angot, Jean Francois Valliere, Romeo Adriano, Victor Saad, Patrick Muleta, Abdel Bouzerguan and Roger Roses occupied respectively the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10 th place. Note that this poker circuit will visitn Spain, on the island of Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands from April 12 to 15.
