Mega Poker Series: Tom Langley won the first tournament title
The Mega Poker Series tournament, the poker event that will know surely more success in the future, just ended with a victory of Tom Langley. The event was held at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham and was attended by 227 players in total among whom 13 of them were registered twice. In total, a prize pool of £ 133,920 has been collected and the 36 best players were rewarded. It was a deep stack tournament in which competitors received 77,000 starting chips for game levels of 77 minutes. Many players in the ubiquitous in largest poker tournaments in the world like Sam Trickett, Daniel Carter, John Eames, the runner-up of the World Poker Tour Dublin Charles Chattha, the finalistof the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure 2012 Ruben Visser, the finalist of the European Poker Tour Koen Visscher and Jamie Burland, the WPT champion Sam El Sayed and many representatives of the online poker site Poker770 were present there. Moreover, many of them were in the money.
Chip leader at the start of the final day, Tom Langley succeeded to keep his advantage until the end. He continued to accumulate a large number of chips after having eliminated Simon Deadman who was eliminated at the 8 th place. Players having low stack like Nick Charles and Dhondt Chattha abandoned the party a few minutes later. Both were ranked respectively 6th and 7 th. Sarbjit Kular joined after the bench of removed, victim of an attack of Julian Herold, who finished 3rd in this tournament. David Morgan held the 4 th place. The final heads'up was played between Andrew Hulme and Tom Langley and the latter emerge finally victorious. Apart from the trophy, Langley took home the top prize of £ 35,770 while the runner-up received the second prize of £ 21,070.
