EPT Madrid: Mike McDonald, chip leader at the entrance of Day 3
The European Poker Tour Madrid continues its course after the day 1A during which only 67 of 125 players survived. The Day 1B brought together meanwhile 352 participants, but after five levels of 75 minutes, there were only 197 players. Eugene Katchalov, Ivan Freitez, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Andrey Pateychuk, Steve O 'Dwyer, Leo Margets, Victor Ramdin and Mickey Petersen were among the 155 players who were eliminated on Day 1B. Among the players who qualified for the Day 2, there is Jake Cody, Mike McDonald, Kevin MacPhee, Kenny Hallaert, Per Linde, Olivier Busquet, Tristan Clémençon, Juan Maceiras, Martin Jacobson, Jacob Rasmussen, Nacho Barbero, Stephane Albertini and Melanie Weisner. But at the end of the day, it's the Spanish Juan Navarrete Azon who took the chip lead with 173,200 chips.
The Day 2 of this poker tournament hosted 264 survivors of the two qualifying days but only 112 players survived with Canadian Mike McDonald as chip leader with a stack of 409,800 chips. In the top 5 in the chip count at the entrance of Day 3, we find Frederik Jensen (404,500), Dmitry Vitkind (368,000), Andries Swart (339,100) and Javier Etayo (329,400). Many players were also qualified for the Day 3 scheduled on Thursday, March 15, like Benyamine, Ilan Boujenah, Nicolas Levi, Rebecca Gerin, Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes, Siyu Sha, Tristan Clemencon, Frederik Jensen, Yorane Kerignard, Erich Kollmann, Ricardo Tavares and Toby Lewis. The 112 survivors of that day will fight until the bubble burst, which means 39 remaining players.
