WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star: Lune Kim wins $ 960,900

Last week was marked by an unusual and exceptional event. 364 players gathered in Florida for the title of the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star with the participation of many stars. The purpose of the event was to play poker but mostly to shoot pro players throughout the five days of competition. Of the 364 enrolled, only six players were qualified for the final table on last Friday, March 8 who were Joe Elpayaa (908,000 chips), Joe Serock (952,000), Lune Kim (2,098,000), Ubaid Habib (2,274,000), Erik Cajelais (3.64 million) and Andrew Badecker (1,040,000) who occupied respectively the six seats.



Joe Elpayaa was the first player of the final table who gave up after a few minutes of play, however, he won $ 128,200 for his sixth place in this tournament. A few hands later, Andrew Badecker was eliminated in his turn but still settle with a gain of $ 192,300. It took 36 hands before the next one leave this final. This is Erik Cajelais ($ 256,300) who ended up in the 4th place of this poker tournament after having been eliminated by Ubaid Habib. After this elimination, there remained three players vying for the title : Ubaid Habib, Lune Kim and Joe Serock. Serock fell at the 3rd ranking and pocketed $ 570,200. There remained after that Ubaid Habib and Lune Kim but ultimately it is the latter who won the first title of the Shooting Star and took home the big prize of $ 960,900.
