APPT Seoul: Victory of the American Andrew Kim
The Asian Pacific Poker Tour Seoul 2012 (APPT) came to end and delivered its result last Sunday, March 11. By winning against his 267 competitors in this poker tournament, Andrew Kim won the trophy and the first prize of $ 145 million krw, just over $ 129,000. During the third day of competition, there were only 16 competitors in the race. And it only took a few hours for to know the nine competitors of the final table. It was a meeting fairly rhythmic. The eliminations started early and the runner-up in the Aussie Millions, Kenneth Wong, was the first to leave this Korean poker tournament final. Ranked in the place of chip leader at the start of the final day, Daisuke Endo followed him at the 8 th place. Taewook Kwon and Jose Severino also followed their footsteps soon after to rank respectively 6th and 7th.
After the elimination of Sasa Zorc who occupied the fifth place, the last four survivors of the final table who were Ortmann, Rodrigo, Rubianes and Kim signed a deal on the earnings distribution. Thus, they decided that the winner of the event will leave with a gain of KRW 35,000,000 more. Shortly after the restart of the game, Ortmann and Rodrigo were forced to leave in their turn this poker game for the 4th and 3rd place, thus leaving Rubianes and Kim the opportunity to compete in the final duel. Kim has shown a huge talent and luck was also on his side. Thus, he earned the victory while his runner-up took home the krw 90.500.000, approximately $ 80,000.
