WSOPE 2012: The Main Event from September 29
Described as the "Best Event of the Year" at the European Poker Awards, the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) will be back in this edition 2012. Like last year, the event will be held in Cannes, in the Casino Barriere Croisette and the Hotel Majestic Barriere. Regarding the date of the tournament, the organizers decided to shift a fortnight so that players can truly enjoy their stay. Note that the 10,400 buy-in main event was a huge success as a field of 593 participants was registered. By ending as the best of this field, the American Elio Fox bagged the first prize of 1.4 million.
The media believe that the next edition of this field could reach about 1,000 participants. Indeed, given the program of the event, many players will be excited to join the Riviera to take part in. Seven bracelets will be distributed at the WSOPE 2012. Those who want to win one should only register for the main event to be held from September 29. It will be spread over five days. The Six Handed No-Limit Hold'em tournament of 2,700 will be on September 21, the 1,100 NLHE on September 23, the 5,300 PLO on September 24, the 3,250 NLHE Shootout on September 25, the Mixed-Max NLHE of 10,450 and the Six-Handed PLO of 1,650 on September 27 will also allow players to win the famous jewel. However, participants can also play NLHE poker and Pot Limit Omaha as they want because a total of 48 tournaments will be organized.
