Chicago Poker Classic 2012: The title went to Anthony Marsico
It was after four days of competition that took place within the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond that the champion of the $ 3,125 buy-in main event of the Chicago Poker Classic was known. This is Anthony Marsico, a native of Bloomingdale, Illinois. Playing poker during four days with a crazy rhythm had nothing easy but Marsico announced that he felt very well despite his tiredness. Note that the young champion of 26 years held the position of chip leader after the second and third day of competition. He maintained his advantage until the end of the meeting. Marsico participated in the final heads'up with more confidence and strength, which enabled him to oust Matthew Rosen. The latter pocketed a bonus of $ 164,279 as runner-up. Edward Ochana was awarded the third place with a prize of $ 108,268. Scott Seville, John Jovanovich, Timothy Chang, Shon Alexander, Elliot and Hebden Bretty Schwertley were also among the finalists and occupied respectively the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th place.
