IPT Nova Gorica: Anton Karasynskiy won ahead of Carla Solinas
Last week, Slovenia has seen a step of the Season 3 of the Italian major poker tournament : the Italian Poker Tour. Indeed, Perla Casino & Hotel Nova Gorica hosted for five days the 286 players who registered for the tournament with 2,200 buy-in for a total prize pool of 545,000. At the start of the day 2, 160 players joined the tables to identify the players who will be admitted for the next step and at the end of the day, there were only 32 players who had the possibility to claim the title of the IPT Nova Gorica. On Day 3, the penultimate day of competition was marked by the elimination of the $ 2,500 NLH champion of the WSOP 2011, the Ukrainian Oleksii Kovalchuk but also by the leading of a woman on the eve of the final table.
The final table brought together the eight survivors of the tournament with Carla Solinas as chipleader. She earned a stack of 1,933,000 chips while her direct opponent Bagic Dubravko has less than a million chips (931,000). The rest of the pack was composed by Carlo Andreoli, Yordan Mitrentsov, Brando Naspetti, Anton Karasinskiy, Iacopo Brandi and Alessandro Minasi. But at the end of the day, Solinas failed at the 2nd place ( 74,000) leaving the title of this poker tournament and the 140,000 to Anton Karasynskiy. The first player to leave the table was Brando Naspetti who still pocketed 12,740, followed by Alessandro Minasi ( 18,300), Iacopo Brandi ( 23,900), Dubravko Bagic ( 29,400), Yordan Mitrentsov (37,000 ) and Carlo Andreoli ( 46,000).
