WPT LA Poker Classic: Sean Jazayeri, an amateur on the throne of Los Angeles

The World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic finally delivered its verdict last Wednesday, February 29. While the audience of the poker room of Commerce Casino in Los Angeles expected a victory of one of five professionals on six players who occupied the seats of the final table, it was Sean Jazayeri, an amateur player, who seized the trophy. Indeed, as usual, the final table of the WPT LA Poker Classic has been very tough. Holders of the lowest stack at the beginning of the party, Jason Sommerville and Jason Burt were, unsurprisingly, were the first to leave the table and were respectively ranked 5th and 6th. Noah Schwartz tried to resist in order to win at least the third place. Unfortunately, he had to settle for the 4 th place.

While there were only three players on the game table, David Sands successfully eliminated Dan Kelly for the third place with a prize of $ 806,370. Sands began after that the final heads'up face to Sean Jazayeri with a slight lead in chips. Despite his experience and advantage, Sands didn't get the victory. Thus, after having living a hectic competition, Sean Jazayeri was awarded the biggest win of his career and became a millionaire by having received the first prize of $ 1,370,240. Note that the new champion will also have his place at the $ 25,000 WPT World Championship to be held at Bellagio.
