FS + G: Filing for bankruptcy of the organizer of the Epic Poker League
The company Federated Sports + Gaming (FS + G) which gather great poker enthusiasts as Annie Duke and Jeffrey Pollack, which was the organizer of the Epic Poker League, a tournament organized to highlight the best superstars of poker, had just filed for bankruptcy on last Wednesday, February 29. If in the eyes of poker community, this fact confirms the view of some poker pros on the future of the EPL as Daniel Negreanu, leaders of the firm have taken pains to explain that this is a just a procedure undertaken in order to implement a reorganization that is supposed to allow them to restart another more efficient organization.
Indeed, in a letter published on the website of the company FS + G, Jeffrey Pollack commented this end of the activity of the company as not an announcement of bankruptcy. Moreover, his colleague Annie Duke also made the same declaration. According to them, FS + G and its entire team are mobilizing to implement a new start and will work to keep some projects like the EPIC Poker League, the Global Poker Index and the Heartland Poker Tour. They also announced they will do the necessary to run all programs already announced for the season 1. It seems that a collaboration with a company to maintain the operations of the FS + G is on preparation. According to rumours, FS + G is trying to start negotiations with Pinnacle Entertainment, even if the leaders confirmed anything about it.
