WPT LA Poker Classic 2012: 18 survivors for the Day 5 of the Main Event

After a Day 3 marked by the qualifying of 54 players led by Tuan Phan with a stack of 1,140,000 chips and also the elimination of Phil Ivey, the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic 2012 is continuing its course with the Day 4. The survivors fought then to designate the last 18 seats before the final table. The 54 survivors of the previous day meet themselves at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles to compete for 18 seats for the next round before the final of this poker tournament. Five levels of game later, Noah Schwartz took the lead, followed by another American, Dan Kelly with a stack of 1,770,000 and 1,749,000.

Follower of the WPT, Schwartz is not at his first tournament but he's still looking for a title. Among the 18 survivors of the day, there are top players already crowned by a WSOP title like David Pham, Dan Kelly, Jason Dewitt, Daniel Idema, Jason Somerville, Nick Binger and WPT title holder as Allen Carter. Other players are also in the title race as Joe Hachem, World Champion 2005, David Sands, Elvis Huynh, Jason Burt, Sean Jazayeri, AJ Jejelowo, Skip Wilson, Daniel Idema, Shahen Martirosian and Sorel Mizzi. Behind the two leaders having a respective stack of over 1.7 million chips, the Top 5 in terms of chip count for the penultimate day of the WPT LA Poker Classic 2012 is completed by AJ Jejelowo (1,573,000), Stephen Chidwick (1,420,000) and Jason Dewitt (1,182,000).
