WPT LA Poker Classic: Phil Ivey as bubble boy

The elimination of the best poker player, Phil Ivey was the highlight of the third day of competition at the World Poker Tour LA Poker Classic. Everybody admit that the prodigy of poker had some difficulties early in the championship. However, the public of the poker room of Commerce Casino in Los Angeles expected a rebound from him. While there were only 55 players on the table and competitors struggled to get ITM, Phil Ivey had to surrender and settled for the place of bubble boy. At the end of the day so, there were only 54 players in the race and they will all be entitled to premiums.

In the top spot for the rest of the competition is the American player from Vietnam, Tuan Phan. Moreover, he is the only one who amassed a stack of over a million chips. Despite his huge advantage, many major players are following him in the top 10 like Jason Somerville who holds 860,000 chips, Joe Tehan with 831,500 chips, Noah Schwartz, Tom Marchese and David Sands. We should also mention the presence of Joe Hachem, Sorel Mizzi, Dan Kelly and Allan Carter in the remaining field. They all have one goal which is to win the title of this major poker event of the 10th season of the WPT and pocketing the $ 1,370,240 first prize and the ticket for the WPT World Championship Bellagio.
