EPT Copenhagen Day 3: Pierre Neuville as chipleader
After the three first days of the European Poker Tour Copenhagen (EPT) that was full of surprises as well as for qualified players than for eliminated as Arnaud Mattern, the poker tournament continued with the Day 3 during which the 176 qualified players fight for the 24 places of the Day 4, the penultimate day of the EPT Copenhagen 2012. After a few hours of play, the 24 players were known gradually at the Casino Copenhagen with the Belgian Pierre Neuville as chipleader with a stack of 780,000 chips. Follower of the European Poker Tour, the Belgian has already registered a nice performance in the past with in particular a place of runner up and two final tables. He also has many EPT cashes at his prizelist.
Among the 24 survivors of the day, there is still a strong Nordic presence with seven Danes, two Finns, two Norwegians and four Swedes who are the Danes Alexander Manson (2nd/730,000 chips), Keld Volquardsen (6th/523,500 chips), Hansen Bjorke (7th/460,000 chips), Mickey Petersen (8th/451,500 chips) and the Norwegian Aage Ravn (3rd/691,000 chips) who are ascending in the Top 10. The day was also marked by the rise of the Czech Martin Staszko, WSOP runner up, who finished in 9th place with a stack of 432,500 chips despite an starting day in the last three places of the chip count. The day did not end well for everyone as for Melanie Weisner who began the Day 3 as chip leader but after the day she was eliminated but accessed however the money.
