Wynn Poker Classic 2012: The kickoff for this February 23
Having became an annual gathering of followers of poker, the Wynn Classic 2012 tournament will take place from February 23 to March 25. It will be once again a great poker festival which will consist of 16 events with different buy-in. Participants will then have a large choice. The flagship event is the Wynn Classic Championship of $ 5,170 which will begin on March 12, 2012 and on March 15, the one who will succeed to Tim West, the champion of the edition 2011 that ousted the young Annette Obrestad during the final duel, will be crowned. Note that the main event in 2011 brought together a field of 212 participants composed of many poker pros as Matthew Waxman, who finished 3rd, Max Steinberg who finished 4 th and Eric Froelich who held the 5 th place. The prize pool totalled $ 1,028,200 and the largest share in the amount of $ 318,738 was awarded to the winner.
About the tournament schedule, players will participate in a No-Limit Hold'em of $ 550, an inaugural event which will run during four days of competition. This tournament will feature a guaranteed prize of $ 250,000. There will be three No-Limit Hold'em tournaments, open each for an entrance fee of $ 1,070 and that will take place on February 26, March 3 and March 8. For fans of Omaha, an Omaha eight-or-better of $ 550 will be held on March 1st and a pot-limit Omaha high will also be held on March 9. There will be also a $ 550 HORSE tournament and a no-limit hold'em of $ 2,090.
