Unibet Open Prague 2012: Filip Verboven pocketed the title
The 1,650 main event of the poker tournament Unibet Open in Prague delivered its verdict this weekend. It was the Belgian player Filip Verboven who took the victory with a bonus of 100,000. He triumphed face to 254 participants and won the final table. Indeed, it only took a few minutes for him to win the so coveted title by members of this last round. The French player Flavien Guenan has meanwhile left the game in the 9th position. The Romanian dan Murariu, winner in 2010, the Dutchman Hans Sybrandi, the Poles Tomasz Kozub and the Belgian Gerret van Lecker then joined the bench of eliminated just a few time after.
After the dinner break, the game resumed. The public waited eight hours before seeing the result. The Belgian Jan Grazjel finished fourth and received the award of 30,200. Instead of bronze with a price of 37,700 was awarded to Mohamed Stieven Razab-Sekh. Heads'up the final was played between Filip Verboven and Scommegna Ruggiero. The two competitors started the game with almost an equal number of chips. However, the aggressiveness and the talent of Verboven to play poker allowed him to eliminate his opponent who settled for the place of runner up, by winning however a prize of 56,600. With this win, the champion has amply embellished his record. Note that he currently has two paid places in the European Poker Tour, a final table at a side event of the EPT Deauville, a third place in the Easter Series of Poker 2008 in Rotterdam, which is moreover, his greatest achievement and a paid place in the World Series of Poker.
