PPD Lyon: Success of the event with a victory of Offir Salomon
A huge success was recorded during the stage of the Partouche Poker Deepstack (PPD) in Lyon last weekend. Indeed, despite the chilly climate, it was a very attractive event because there was a broad field of 500 participants who registered there. Well known players such as Flavian Guénant, Antonin Teisseire, Margaux Ponnelle, Leo Truche, Bruno Launais, Ondine Monnanteuil and many journalists were present there. After the first two days of competition, there were only 33 survivors with Jean-Pierre Ricci as chipleader. In addition, he managed to access the list of finalists. But finally, he rolled to the 8 th place, pocketing however, a prize of 4,000.
The player who had the privilege to afford the title of champion of the PPD Lyon is Offir Salomon. This native of Switzerland won the final table in 9 by ousting Jonathan Khalifa during the final duel. For his victory, Offir Salomon pocketed the first prize of 50,000 while the runner-up won the second prize of 22,100. The prize of bronze went to Paul Hannequin. David Gassian, Christian Grenier, Nicolas Rinquin, Samuel Biggs and Cédric Morlot held respectively the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 9th place. Note that the tournament organizers decided to repeat the event. Thus, those who have not had the privilege to be part of this PPD Lyon field will have the chance to participate because the poker room of the Lyon Vert Casino will welcome them once again on March 9 to 11, 2012.
