EPT Deauville: A very good turnout for the side-events
Alongside the main event which was won by Vadzim Kursevich, the EPT Deauville Season 4 had also in its program several side events. A total of 20 side events of buy-ins ranging from 100 to 10,000 were played for a week at the Centre International de Deauville, transformed into a poker room from January 31 to February 6. We can mention among others the NLHE Bounty ( 1,100), the PLO ( 1,100), the NLHE Heads-Up ( 5,300), the High Roller ( 10,300), the NLHE ( 2,200), the NLHE Deepstack ( 880) or the High Roller Turbo ( 5,250). Many poker players participated in these side events, judging by the turnout registered at the 1,500 NLHE, at the 2,000 and the 10,000 NLHE High Roller with the respective participation of 378, 289 and 72 players, these three events generated together the biggest prize pools in the tournament: 554,320 for the 1,500 NLHE, 554,800 for the 2,000 NLHE and 691,200 for the 10,000 High Roller.
These tournaments revealed some players like Kevin MacPhee, Matthias de Meulder, Jean-Pierre Petroli and Nacho Barbero. The French Matthias de Meulder took home 136,000 for having won the 1,500 NLHE while his compatriot Eric Sfez who was victorious at the High Roller received a gain of 242,000. As for the 880 NLHE Deepstack and the 10,000 High Roller Turbo, Jean-Pierre Petroli and Kevin MacPhee excelled themselves and won for this purpose a respective gain of 34,600 and 50,000. As for the Ladies Event, it was won by Anne Le Clainche ( 7,850) after a head's up with Agnes Jacques.
