World Poker Tour: Kick off of the Venetian stage
Since Monday, February 6, the Casino di Venezia, in the city of Venice hosted poker enthusiasts who came there to compete for the title of the World Poker Tour Venice (WPT). Indeed, the 4,950 buy-in main event of this phase has just begun. Note that this event attracted last year a field of 523 participants and the title went into the hands of the local player Alessio Isaia. This year, well-known players as Guillaume Darcourt, James Akenhead, Nicolas Levi, John Eames, Fabrice Soulier, Marvin Rettenmaier, Kara Scott, Jake Cody, Tony G, Roberto Romanello and the WPT Player of the Year Andy Frankenberger have already been seen in the poker room at the first qualifying day.
Besides the main event, the WPT Venice has also several very interesting events. Indeed, on Monday, Feb. 6, two tournaments were already available to players with the Super Sat Omaha High Stakes of 150 and the Turbo freezeout of 200. This Tuesday, February 7, a deepstack tournament open 8 Max of 400 buy-in, an Omaha High Stakes of 1,100 and a NLH Super Sat of 250 are scheduled. On Wednesday, February 8, the organizers invite players to participate in the Mega Event of 1,650 entry fee starting from 2:00 pm. The same day, another 200 side event will also take place in the evening. On Thursday, February 9, a side event of 550 and a Last Chance Omaha of 400 will be reserved for poker players who came at the casino. And to close this second edition of the WPT Venice, there will be the tournament The Venetian Game of 250 to be held on February 10 at 3:00 pm.
